Audio Barron's TOEFL BT 11th: This book is used in my college-level ESL class. Since my pupils were not required to take the TOEFL, I decided to use the activities in class. However, they are somewhat disorganized, and the answer key for each lesson is not always easy to find in the rear. I occasionally gleaned some more activities for the class, but I had to forgo my plan to utilize it as a practice workbook for the students because it is not user-friendly.
This updated 11th edition provides thorough and current preparation for the Paper-Based TOEFL and Computer-Based TOEFL, also a preview of the Next Generation TOEFL exam. There is ample practice, even for pupils without computer access.
The manual contains a review chapter for each section of the TOEFL, including the new Speaking Section, as well as nine full-length model tests for the Computer-Based TOEFL, with questions answered and explained, one full-length model test for the Next Generation TOEFL, and a practice test for the TOEFL Academic Speaking Test (TAST), with sample answers. The audio CDs teach listening comprehension and include listening comprehension sections of sample tests.
