Many students have problem when they try to speak english especially in front of people. Why can't they speak english even though they have learned english at school? They study by reading book, listening, and speaking, but it is still hard to speak. this is the reason why english learners are still silent if the teacher asks them to speak. they don't how to say. this article will tell why vocabularies are important to improve english skills, especially speaking. 

It's a serious case to be discussed, and perhaps there will be any solution of the problem which always faces by students.

If we take a look of the problem, we can pay attention to their habits. most students learn english since they were at elementary school until university. They just learn how to do some homework or task given by teacher, and never try to use what they get from school to be used in daily conversation. although they will use english to speak, they are still not confidence to say, and don't have partners to practice english everyday. once they try to speak, there are no words to be explained. they don't know to reply their teachers or friends who ask them the questions, even just simple question like 'what do you always do on your free time?'. It's not strange because they never try to speak, but when they try, they don't know what to say.

I think there is problem from their learning proses that they just focus on doing the test without seeing to their goal in learning english. People who want to speak english automatically must have vocabularies to be able to explain what are on their mind. The  vocabularies are needed, and those become the important things to be the key of success of learning english.

by having alot of vocabularies, they have foundation of developing the language. the baby is able to speak when he has words. it means that we can use the words to explain what we have on our mind. it's so possible for english learners who learn english from the basic to improve their conversation by having alot of vocabularies. if they have them, then they try to use it as much as they can.

How to enrich vocabularies

1. Reading a book

Reading activity is one method to get new words. we will have new words after reading certain book, and also knowledge that maybe you had never had it before. Once you read,  make sure you have at least 10 or 20 new words to be saved on your mind. you can choose the genre of the book depending on your interest. after reading, please make a note on small book,and bring it wherever you go. please to always open and use the words you already have in any occasion. try to speak those words everyday.

      2. Listening to the music

The fun way to improve the vocabulary is to listen to the music. begun by choosing the music, and then listen while looking at the lyrics. after we have been familiar with the lyrics, we can try to sing following the recording. at first we can take a look on the texts, then continuous without the lyrics.

     3. Making a note

the other ways to improve vocabulary are making notes on pocket book. we can start by knowing the things around us. for instance at home, school, or at workplace. find the things we don't know the meaning, write them down on your book, and find the meaning in english with your dictionary. after finishing to write, we can try to memorize and in any chance say them. always do it on every chance you go to new place.

Because of those reasons above, we can consider to build vocabulary by any activity so that we will be able to speak better and no worry to share the ideas.
